Status: Set-Aside (Reviewed from June 17, 2017 to June 23, 2017)
Background
It is not enough, that judges sit in a workshop. They have to prove in a test-judging that they are really good in their area of judging.
Proposal
old:
7C.4.10 Judges Workshop
Judges should have read the rules prior to the start of the workshop. The workshop
will include a practice judging session. Each judge will be required to sign a statement
indicating they have read the rules, attended the workshop, agree to follow the rules,
and will accept being removed from the list of available judges if their judging accuracy
scores show Judging Weaknesses.
new: 7C.4.10 Judges Online-Workshop with Test
Within 14 days before the competition Judges have to attend a 3-hour-online-workshop including practice judging of 3 hours for their area of judging and prove their expertise in additional three online-test-judgings that must have less than 5 % deviation to the rulebook-committes score.
The online-workshop can be translated into different languages.
A result/certificate is sent by e-mail to the judge and the chief-judge.
Each judge will be required to sign a statement

Body
For good preparation the judges need time, that is not available at Unicon. To assure good judging expertise we should use modern ways of teaching, that are proved and tested in Bavaria for 3 years now.
